Who We Are
We are a locally owned and operated men’s lifestyle shop in Austin, Texas. Founded in 2015 by Tyler Guinn and Ben Woods, the brand began as a shared vision for a community-focused hybrid space that serves the modern man. Our door was opened for the first time in early 2016 at Domain NorthSIDE, an exciting community being forged north of downtown Austin.
Weathered Coalition offers guests a chance to explore personal style in a dignified environment, discover new brands, and enjoy a complimentary beverage. The shop's tightly curated selection includes apparel, denim, footwear, leather goods and luggage, grooming and apothecary, and even home goods. We believe in neighborly service, and finding common ground with every guest.
Our Mission
The things you buy tell a story about who you are and where you’re going. We believe that story should be one of continual growth, a zeal for life, and development of personal style. Your wardrobe is built one piece at a time, always taking you a step closer to the man you strive to be. In a world of fast fashion this mentality has gone to the wayside, and men have been conditioned to find the lowest price point. We refuse to cut corners to make a buck. Guests at Weathered Coalition can rest assured that we stand firmly on quality over quantity, and a pursue a timeless aesthetic. Everyday we stand in your shoes, developing our own styles and working hard to be better people.
Weathered Coalition is a shop for every man, with respect for men coming from all walks of life. As founders of the company, we were just a couple guys in the workforce who left our jobs to pursue a dream, without a background in fashion or design. The brands in the shop convey this dignified but humble message as well. They are ones we love to own, and share with our friends. Most importantly, they tell the story of the men we aspire to be.
The Shop
Our business is driven by a strong sense of "home." We believe home can be more than four walls and a roof. It is your daily commute, the coffee shop on the corner, sliding into your favorite pair of jeans, and being amongst loved ones. Home is a place to be yourself. Home is a family. That's how we run our shop, treat our brand partners, and interact as a team - all of which translates to a unique buying experience for our guests. We offer products and expertise for the places you call “home.”
As a result, our style is less about a time-stamped look or trend, and more about the mix of people we serve - people like you. We emphasize American Made products, and don't shy away from our Southern roots. Over time, we look forward to working with more brands that share our ethos and standards. Simply put, we offer “Domestic Supplies For Men.”
Authentic Experience
If it doesn’t make a good story, it’s probably not worth doing. At least, that’s how we’d like to view the happenings in and around WC. We attempt to cultivate authentic experiences for our community, and avoid fabricated participation. When you step into the shop, read a blog post about a brand, or attend one of our events, you should walk away feeling energized. We view every interaction with our guests as an opportunity to have a share worthy moment.
With an in-house whiskey and cold-brew coffee bar, a sink for the occasional barber, and a work lounge open to all, Weathered Coalition is more than a place to buy products. It's a place to make memories. We look forward to serving you, and proudly welcome you to the coalition.
